MEC determined to promote sports in schools

MBOMBELA – As part and parcel of ensuring that the province moves in a positive direction in sports development, MEC for culture ,sports and recreation, Ms Norah Mabena committed to develop future sporting champions.
She indicated that an amount of R10 million has been set aside to enable 1 100 learners to participate in school sport tournaments at national level.

“We are committed to develop future sporting champions and we know that the province will benefit immensely from these champions,”said Mabena.
This publication also learnt that about 60 clubs in the province that participate in various sporting codes will be provided with equipment and attire as per established norms and standards
