Two arrested for unlicensed firearm

TONGA -The suspects, originally from India, were travelling from Langeloop when police who were patrolling at sector 2 Kamhlushwa, got a tip-off about a white Toyota Tazz Reg no DRK 025 MP.

Police stopped the vehicle at Kamhlushwa and the driver of the vehicle tried to run away, but Constable Mahungela managed to stop him.

They then searched the vehicle and under the driver’s seat they found a black plastic bag. Inside the plastic was a black and silver Burgo Revolver serial no 19082, with one live ammunition.

The suspects were then arrested after they failed to produce the firearm licence.
