MBOMBELA –  The recent numerous car accidents that occurred on different roads in Nkomazi have claimed 16 lives.

Nkomazi Municipal Mayor Miss Thulisile Khoza said they have decided to join hands with the different stakeholders to ensure that the affected families get support to bury their loved ones. “Two of the families have lost three of their family members in Naas and in Schoemansdal, respectively, we have then decided as local government to contribute with a mass funeral to these family members since they are facing worse times of their lives,” said Khoza.

The mayor also revealed her disappointment with the Road Accident Fund for not being supportive to the families in their time of need. The first funeral will be on Saturday at Kamaqhekeza community hall while the other one will be held at Mahlatsi High School in Schoemansdal on Sunday.
