MBOMBELA- Ellies Beauty Studios is on the hunt for aspiring beauticians in the province to train them free of charge.

“Because beauty training can cost an arm and a leg, with such an opportunity, we believe there are no excuses for the youth to be home
bored and unemployed with a programme of this calibre available,” explains Elizabeth Chabeng, founder of the programme.

For the past two years the company has successfully run the beauty program giving unemployed people free top notch training.

“Again this year, the studio will continue to offer free training in massage, eyelash extensions, nail technology, body waxing and facials. The staff is dedicated to giving expert advice, with the fully-equipped studio providing aspiring beauticians with the latest skills via training and equipment knowledge,” she adds.

Two of their former trainees confirmed to Mpumalanga News that their lives were never the same after receiving training from the Ellies Beauty Studio.

Cathy Tsoaela, the owner of Cathy’s Hair and Beauty Salon says her business was never the same. “I am now doing everything from nail to hair and have since employed two previously disadvantaged employees on permanent basis,” she says.

Gugu Ravuku echoed the same sentiments. “I was a student for three months last year, and gained a lot of skills nail and make-up courses. It was free of charge I only paid for the kit and I’m glad I was part of the training,” says Ravuku.

Interested candidates may apply for the first leg of the free beauty skills programme which opened on February 20 until May 1. “The programme runs on a first come, first serve basis,” she adds.
