Acornbush are un-crowned champions

The Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League race is over. This follow after log-leaders, Acornbush United did themselves a huge favour by beating second placed, TS Galaxy 2-0 in a match that was held at the KaBokweni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Third placed going into the weekend fixtures, Witbank Citylads suffered a surprise defeat at home in Lynivlle Stadium when they went down 2-1 to Mlambo Royal Cubs.
Phiva Youngsters 2-0 win over Mapulaneng United at Thulamahashe New Stadium moved them to third place.
With the weekend outcome results, Acornbush are now unconfirmed champions. They currently lead the race with 63-points after 24-games, followed by Galaxy with 46-points after the same number of games.

Phiva follow in third place with 42-points after 23-games and Citylads occupy fourth place with 41-points after 24-games.
In order for the other three chasing teams to be crowned champions, they need to hope that Acornbush lose all their remaining games while they win theirs with avalanche of goals.
