Ex-Bucs development star chase golden boot award in RCL Foods Selati Cup

Some team battling it out during the on-going RCL Foods Selati Cup.

Former Orlando Pirates and South African youth international, Bheki “Speedy” Mabaso, is among the favourite to win this year’s golden boot in the RCL Foods Selati Cup.
Mabaso, who is turning in the colours of Driekoppies City Royal, has helped his team to reach the last-16 of the ongoing 11-edition of the Selati Cup.
Mabaso is leading the goal-scoring charts with eight goals to date. He is sharing the leading spot along with Sanele Khanyile of Schulz Eleven Experience and Kwazi Ndlangamanda of Mananga Royal City.

Both players have also rattled the net eight times each.
The tournament started with a total of 128-teams participating.
They are all eyeing the R100 000 in stake for the eventual champions, which are expected to be crowned on Sunday June 4 at KaMhlushwa Stadium.
All – Mabaso, Khanyile and Ndlangamandla – are not just leading the goal scoring charts but they are also record makers in this year’s event.

Khanyile has become a first player to score six goals in a single match while Ndlangamandla has scored five and Mabaso four.
Khanyile’s team, Schulz Eleven Experience has also make history by becoming a first team to score whopping 14-goals in a single match.
