Housebreaking on the increase in Kabokweni

There has been an increase in house burglaries around Kabokweni.

The local police are warning residents to be on the alert and keep watch of their neighbours’ properties.

“We have experienced an increasing rate in housebreaking in various areas around our policing area. The suspects target mostly electrical appliances,” says Capt Shirley Ngomane- Nsimba .

“Sadly criminals get into victims’ houses while their owners are inside sleeping, which gives us a problem to say home owners might be in danger in their homes,” she says.

Problematic areas are Kabokweni North, Kabokweni Central, Ngodini dam and the Shakes sides.

Ngomane-Nsimba urges community members, especially neighbours, to look out for one another, know the whereabouts to curb this crime.
