The arrest follows police swift action after receiving information about men who were suspected to be in possession of and dealing in drugs at their place of residence
The suspects are supposedly part of a notorious syndicate and were allegedly en route to poach wildlife
The deceased has been identified by his relatives.
His escape comes after the police were preparing to take them to the Mdutjana Magistrate’s Court on September 11 2017, on charges of robbery and being in the possession of an illegal firearm.
The accused was a practicing attorney in Middelburg where clients deposited money into a trust account, whereby, he transferred the money into his business account which he utilized for day to day business at his firm and also paid employees` salaries and his debts totalling to R5.3 million.
The teenager was arrested by police on the same day after police were tipped off on his whereabouts.
He will appear again in court on October 5.
An amount of R3 million was approved and the suspects who were employees of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform transferred money to their personal accounts.
Ms Vimbeni Mazibuko recently appeared in the Mkobola Magistrate’s Court where she pleaded guilty to dealing dagga. She was fined R2 000.
